Obsidian is touting a sequel that is “significantly larger” than the first Pillars of Eternity, which launched in 2015 and likewise was a big crowdfunding success. Feedback from those playing a backers-only beta informed the decision to hold the game out another month and touch it up more. “We are taking just a few extra weeks to polish and put those finishing touches on the game,” Obsidian Entertainment said to backers in a statement. Originally pegged for a an Aplaunch date, a note sent to backers yesterday said it will now launch on PC on May 8, 2018. Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire has been delayed into May.
